The Vedic Ranch is an inspirtaion from His Divine Grace A.C. Bhakivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Although the Vedic Ranch & Goshala is a separate and independent spiritual venture, some of its members and organizers are disciples or followers of His Divine Grace, who stressed so much the importance of cow protection and developing goshalas all over the world, for the protection of the cows and bulls. Goshala means a plavce where the cows are protected. The cows are treated as sacred in India because they act as "mother" for the entire human society by supplying milk, which when taken, builds higher brain cells for understanding God. Most temples in India have goshalas in which the milk from such protected cows is used in service of the Deities of the Lord. Goshala ki Jaya!
